After playing some more I don't fall off edges and the boss fights are much more fun.Īnd I also managed to free 2x "worms" trapped in glass jars that I couldn't do before because of the input lag. I turned V-sync off and now the control is much tighter. Turning V-Sync off in the settings menu (in game) fixed it for me though (in case you haven't already tried). (I tried with an NVIDIA, and Intel HD Graphics, with & without compositing X and not wayland and I don't use triple buffering). Also you buy pins to show where stuff are on the map, like shops and stations and benches and a lot more so yeah its very detailed. I wonder if there's an additional input lag in Hollow Knight itself or if it's due to something in the Linux gfx stack. Exactly like castelvania, it has a very perfectly detailed map and you can buy a compass 'very early in the game' To show exactly where you are. Hollow Knight has seen some fantastic post-release support and content updates, I'm really pleased to see them continue developing it and upgrading it. Once the gates are open pick up the City Crest dropped by the False Knight, then continue going to your left and jump on the elevated platforms to reach a chest filled with Geo.
